I just got back from campin' in Pocahontas County and it was very, very difficult to leave. The whole drive down from Cacapon State Park, Hwy 522 to I-81 to Cass, WV and back through Elkins, WV was probably the most beautiful stretch of road I have ever been on. Pendleton and Pocahontas Counties were just amazing. It took me over two hours to get through those counties because of the number of times I stopped to enjoy this part of the Mountain State.
I will tell you one thing, I went on some huntin' trails through that part of the state and the scenery just took my breath away. At one point, I reached the top of a Mountain Ridge on one of the trails and I was over 4,000 ft. lookin' out all across the Greenbrier valley and what not!! Gosh, it was amazing!! Unfortunately, it did rain some and I did get wet, but it was well worth it because I didn't get sick either!! The bass were bitin' too considering the mountain waters and air were still cold, I managed to snag a couple of 1.5 pounders for some good eatin'.

Raised hell in town... the highlight of the week was when me and my 2 best buds went over to some bars in Marietta, OH after making our start at BDub's and believe it or not hung out with Patrick Beilein (his girlfriend lives in the area) and when he saw me in my WVU gear, he said, "Alright, Mountaineers in the house" and wound up buying us drinks! The Brewery in Marietta... and of course, we went to the Galley down the street... after that, we hit up some low-rent bar in Williamstown and got completely plastered!
It was a nice consolation prize for not being able to go to Charlotte... long story there.
