Madina Ali had 21 points and 13 rebounds and No. 21 West Virginia snapped a three-game losing streak with a 90-79 win against Pitt today.
Sarah Miles had season highs with 19 points and nine assists for the Mountaineers (21-6, 7-6 Big East), who came into the game having lost five of six after a 19-1 start.
The victory was the 200th at West Virginia for coach Mike Carey, in his 10th season at the school.
Taneisha Harrison had 28 points for Pitt (13-13, 5-8), which had won four of its previous five.
West Virginia went on a 10-1 run midway through the first half and led by at least 10 from that point until there was 1:03 to play. The Mountaineers led by as many as 21 in the second half.
The Panthers set season highs in free throws attempted (34) and made (28).
