I was just wondering what if any groups or organizations you have been affiliated with.
Mine: 1. In the military we were always doing things for the surrounding communities (building new playgrounds, helping cities rebuild city parks, ect) 2. Volunteer firefighter/EMT for over 12 years. 3. 1994 Group of 120 people who volunteered to go with W VA Dept. of Natural Res. to fight fires in Montana and Idaho. 4. Since 1991 have been a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. All money raised by the club are directed back to the community or National fund raising projects.

I started volunteering with Habitat for Humanity way back when I was in high school.. I was involved with the interact club and that was something that we did.. I still pitch in for Habitat when I can..
When my kids were wee little and I was going through nursing school, and Pete was in college, we were dirt poor.. My kids qualified for Head Start, and both Pete and I were both heavily involved volunteering for Head Start. I eventually became emplyed there as the school nurse for head start of fayette county and I servd proudly for a year and a half.
After I moved to Florida, and became educated in the field of neurology, I co chair 2 support groups.. One for Brain Injured patients and their Families, and an Alzheimer's Support group for familys. Its been extremely fullfilling.
