Which is better, Chicago pizza or good ole DiCarlo's?

Well, since I am originally from Wheeling, you have asked the right person. In food, as in art, beauty is in the eye of the beholder (taster). Chicago deep dish is my favorite because of the thick crust and large amount of cheese. If you get the stuffed pizza the fixins are inside the double crust and 2 slices will fill you up. Some of my friends prefer the thin crust. It's kind of like asking when was the best sex you ever had. It's all good.

Wish I was in Wheeling right now. I could really go for a Coleman's fish sammich for lunch!

If you're ever in Fairmont, Colasessano's is the place to go to get the best pizza!

If you're ever in Fairmont, Colasessano's is the place to go to get the best pizza! I was in Fairmont today and drove right past it. Unfortunately my son is allergic to wheat so we went to Applebees.

DiCarlos is a very different type of pizza than Chicago-style, so it's hard to compare. I like both very much. One thing I can tell you for sure, they do NOT know how to make pizza in Texas. Yuck!

If you're ever in Chicago, my personal recommendations are the Original Pizzeria Uno (the chain is 100% different than the original downtown location) or any Giordano's. These are my two favorite deep dish spots.
