Thanks guys.. Love the serenades.
Things have even gotten more nuts here since I last posted. I have been through phase 2 of the interview process and I finish that up on Tuesday with phase 3.
I found out on Friday morning (The morning of the Doobie Brother's concert.) that my friend Pam finally lost her battle with cancer and died on Thursday. I did go to the concert and it was fun. Even though it was an outside concert and after almost 2 months of not having rain, it rained. The concert didn't even start until 10 PM. But they were SOOO good. They played 3 songs that are going to be released on their new album that is planned for release at the end of this year, and they all 3 were WONDERFUL!
Well I am fixing to get in the shower now for Pam's viewing. The funeral is tomorrow. None of this is going to be easy at all. I couldn't even order flowers without sobbing. I know she is out of pain and sickness now, but I grieve for her husband and 19 year old son.
I hope this roller coaster ride of ups and downs is over soon.
Thanks for being there.
<<hugs>>

Thank you so much gentlemen!
I very very much apologize for my long absence from here. To say that I've been in a funk is an understatement. I don't do well with unemployment and in all honesty I haven't been chit chatting with anyone for a very long time. I play face book games and watch tv and.. hide in my bedroom..
I've been meaning to come here and post.. but its like.. If you missed church for too long, you're embarrassed to come back.. That and I couldn't be "suzie sunshine" because everything else was down the shitter.. Then we were doing so well in basketball and I didn't want to jinx us.
Well I am PLEASED to report that last Friday I got called for a job interview at the hospital thats just down the street and IF things go nicely, I will have employment yet again, be it very part time. Phase 2 of the interview process is tomorrow morning. So cross your fingers for me. I'll need some luck..
I also was surprised this AM with my birthday prezzie from my kids. Here's the funny story. Remember how I have stated I was really living in a cave.... Its so true. I just found out on Saturday that The Doobie Brothers are coming to the area this coming Friday. I found out while I was out and about with my friend Dawn. I read it on a billboard so I wasn't sure of the details. But I saw Doobie Brothers and .. April 23.. I told Dawn.. If they are playing at he Civic center.. can we go? I really love the Doobie Brothers. She said.. yeah.. IF they are in pensacola we'll go..
Little did I know, that 2 weeks prior to that.... My dear sons had found out about the concert and bought tickets and had arranged with Dawn to take me. Those sneaky sneaky people! No One let on.. I even asked Pete if he knew where they were playing and he said.. I'm pretty sure they are playing in New Orleans. So I was all deflated and didn't check.
They are ALL cheeky monkeys.
Anyways.. So I am going to see the Doobie Brothers on Friday night in a casino in Alabama on Friday night with my friend Dawn. Doobies, slot machines. alcohal and the company of my best friend. It can't be any better than that.

Exciting games all day and night! I only wish Pitt Cincy didn't play at the same time as WVU and Rutgers!
WVU wins Yes! Cincy wins and destroys Pitt's hopes! Yes! (and I would have felt VERY badly if Pitt went to the BCS , we went to the Gator and Cincy went to the car care bowl. And I think it would have gone down that way.)
Then, after ALL season... And I have been waiting for it.. Florida got EMBARRASSED. Its a shame it had to happen at the hands of another SEC team, but at least it happened!
Then the juggernaut ALMOST happened.. Texas was 1 second away from LOSING.. Imagine the monkey wrench that would have happened in the BCS had that happened..
There was the SLIMMEST possibility that Cincy could have gone to the NCG and then would WVU be going to the BCS as The Big East's number 2? Just a possibility..
But Texas won so all is right (yeah right) in BCS land.. All in all it was a great day to stay in the house and watch college football.

What a good article..
I am very torn about my emotions of Rodriguez. I remember how sick we were when Alabama came a calling a few years ago but Rodriguez did not leave and we were relieved. Then we had our dream season.. Only to be squashed by the loss to Pitt. Conspiracy theory or not, there is a part of me that will always believe that Rodriguez lost that game for us so he could easily leave for Michigan. But then.. you hear so many that are not us, demoralize him callhim the hillbilly with no coaching tallent and ya almost want to defend him.. because he is one of us, and like it or not, he did raise the bar for WVU football while he was here.
So i am truly torn.. as the article sugguests.

I would MUCH rather play VT or Miami in the Gator.. but truth be told. 3 weeks ago I though we would be headed to the International bowl or Papajohns.. So I'm just grateful we're going to the lat opportunity WVU has to go to the Gator. Lots of memories from that Bowl It will be sad to see it go.

We have to beat Rutgers first.. But a Gator would be AWESOME since it is our last year of eligibity for it. Sportsline predicts us going there and playing Miami.

I'm not going anywhere and no one is coming over, I don't think. So it will just be us and a turkey.

I think there was poor poor clock management by Bill Stewart. I think in the second half things should have been mixed up a bit more. I agree that WVU played last night which is something we haven't seen in awhile and I FULLY agree that Ryan Clark needs to get more play time.
I honestly thought we were gonna get our asses SPANKED last night but at least we came to play.

I don't know if we deserve it with the way we've been playing so far this year.. but at at least will help Cincy ... Especially after they beat us 0n Friday night. We'll at least be a ranked team.

LOL At this point I think we should try to steal Jim Kelly
I am so sorry.. It was hard to find ANYTHING positive about yesterday's game. And I also think that Maybe its time for Gino to come out and QB. Brown was ineffective and the play calling was horrible.
