Today I am going to have to argue with the school district to get my son Ryan back into Escambia High School. Then I am going to have to fight to make the hospital recognize that Alan is important to our department and they better move FAST to make sure he's gonna stay with us and do it ASAP.

Today I received major kudos for a piece of a project I'm managing that was WAY out of my skillset. I successfully project managed the schematic design, construction documents, and design documents for a physical security system (cameras, proximity card readers, parking lot control systems, intercom systems, and code blue stations) for a major new hospital in the Houston area. 4 months ago I didn't know the first thing about security systems and I still don't know much, but I managed to navagate my way through something I wasn't sure I could do.
Now if the rest of the project goes this smoothly (I'm also PM'ing the low-voltage cable infrastructure, voice systems, data systems, wireless voice & data, carrier entrance facilities, and audio/visual systems for this new hospital), I'll be in great shape!

I didn't go to the Senior Bowl today.. I was feeling puny, Owen wasn't playing, it was chilly and it rained all day, and it would have been hard to cheer for John David Booty..
I feel better this evening, and I plan on going to work in the morning to help out my grasshopper Terri. She has to go in tomorrow to do an EEG on a newborn.. Its her first baby. Our hospital doesn't have pediatritians, as Sacred heart is the Women's and Children's hospital here in Pensacola so doing a study on a newborn is rare.
Its STILL raining here in Pensacola, and if the sun doesn't come out soon, I'm gonna get GROUCHY.

I know the feelig I have spring fever already and it isnt even Feb. I have had enough of the cold weather. I hope it stos raining for you MJ.

Fortunately, I only have a month to wait until spring gets here. Its truly my FAVORITE season down here. The end of Febrary, March and April are beautiful here.

Fried chicken and potato salad from Amish place at Reading Terminal Market for dinner tonight. OMG, it has to be the best fried chicken in the world!
