I took wednesday off from work and came in on thrusday due to a sinus infection and fever, went to doctor to get antibotics and damn when I got up thursday my back was sore I couldnt walk I didnt do anything to hurt it. I feel alittle better witht he sinuses and back still sorethis friday AM. I came into work cause I had a doctors appoiintment with a client regarding his blood pressure and it is best that someone that works with him on a daily basis takes him to it. Otherwise I would still be at home on sick leave.

I swear my life is gonna become a soap opera soon.. As the Ryan's world turns. Pete, the dad, has discovered that Ryan is hydroponically growing pot plants in his room.. Pete, the completely anti marijuana man is freaking out YET again. Now I realize Ryan is pushing the envelope here on this one, as Ryan HAS since he was 2 years old. But Pete kicking Ryan out of the house is not gonna be therapeutic AT ALL.. So I have to be the peacemaker between these two stubborn men. They both love one another. I just need to remind them of that.
I actually told pete tonight that he has had a problem with making such a HUGE deal about little things for so long that Ryan just doesn't give a shit anymore. ie nothing will ever be good enough, so why care? Pete screams about a dirty glass being left on the coffee table the same way he screams about the pot, or bad grades, or missing kerfew, or not getting laundry done, or the kitchen floor wasn't swept. Thats one of the reasons I left Pete so many years ago and that's one of the reasons that Ryan is so apathetic now. Ryan is also a teenager and he's beena hellion sicne he was about 2 years old, always pushing the envelope.
I'm not giving Ryan the free pass, nor am I gonna give Pete the free pass. I';m just gonna really have to dig down and make everyone happy

can someone give me some good karma please..
Today at work sucked.. Got to work this morning and we had a Gulf Breeze EEG to do. We don't have them really frequently, and since I'm by myself, it sucked that one came down.. But alas, I had to go do it. I decided to get get the lap top ready and get that outta the way first.. Looking for the laptop.. can't find the laptop.. call my boss who's IN Gulf Breeze hospital as a patient to see ifhe might know where it is as he used it last. He went to our lab at the hosptal towing his IV to check if it was there.. No luck.. I had maintainance come over to make sure the laptop wasn't in Alan's office that is locked and he has the key but he's in the hospital at gulf breeze..
Wasn't there.. someone friggin stole our lap top out of a locked area in our locked lab.. Had to report this to Jim, who reported it to security, who reported it to the police. I spent 3 hours this morning about this issue and I still hadn't done any of my patients and the police officer that took my statement, seemed to want to accuse ME of stealing the damn thing. Sigh.. whatever.
Went to get lunch (in the cafeteria) after doing a patient, came back to the lab and there is a stat requisition on the printer.. pt in SINU. I ate 3 bites of cantelope, and took one gulp of my tea and headed ever to do this stat.. before I even got to my machine, I was paged over head.. I called sinu from an in house phone and said, that I would be there within 5 minutes..
they PAGED me.. within the next 2 minutes and I was already in SINU.. after the stat, I went to chase down 3 more patients.. I got 2 of the 3 done and one is sitting on the hopper for the morning.
I'm tired, my kid smokes pot, the one that doesn't live with me and with his constipated father, the kid is 18, and I am trying my friggin best to make sure he is at least preant at school every day and now this.. and the dad has already kicked him outta the house once for skipping school on Mardi Gras.
Ugh.. and my knee is bothering me.. I can NOt go down stairs even without extreme pain.

I am at work right now, just caught a few moments of down time and thought I would check in and see what I have been missing. I have been extremely busy, we are in the middle of a major changeover that is going to take us months. We are completly changing our broadcast format and how we do it. This is a huge task because of all the different languages, and broadcast channels we are dealing with. I am enjoying the process for the most part. Anyway I will stop back in when I can.
