Hey Jim,
My best friends daughter goes to some elite expensive Art college in Savana .. Anyways.. They couldn't afford it except she gets special student loans and I think scholarships for learning disability. She had ADHD. You may wanna check that avenue out for future semesters?

MJ, if you could get me some info on that, I would greatly appreciate it, and I'll send you some $$$ to buy several cases of beer! No joke!

Sorry to hear things didn't pan out, Jim. It sucks to be treated like just a number, especially when you're investing so much time and money into something. Unfortunately that's the reality at any major university.
Hang in there! Any chance you can start up in the Spring instead of waiting until next August?

I'm still awaiting to hear back from the 2nd level of appeal... if things go as planned, I could be back up there in January.

That's better than waiting a full year! Back in time for most of the basketball season

Well, I got a letter in the mail DENYING me at the 2nd level of appeal, with the same bullshit excuse as the first one: My GPA. Those horse's asses... however, I've been getting word from a lot of people that Financial Aid is seriously screwing people over this semester for various reasons.
I think I'm going to take a bit of a break from the appeals process, and re-start the process for the Spring Semester.

To be honest, I'm not real sure. I can't get a ticket to the game...

I got mine the other day from StubHub and the price was very good. They still have them there. Just FYI.

today was a good news day of sorts...
Before I head out the door for class, my brother IMs me and I hear my iPod touch go off (I was outside, but it still picked up our WiFi connection) and he asked me if I wanted a ticket... I said, "Yeah. Do work, bro!" He got me a guest ticket in the Senior Spirit section. Although I owe him $45 for it (price of the ticket), I will gladly pay it.
Then, as soon as I got to WVUP, I decided to go to the Financial Aid Office to check on my money. Well, it turns out I was awarded $12K in federal money for the year... broken down to 6K per semester... tuition there is only 1K, so I will have around 5K per semester to play with. Yeah, freakin sweet indeed! However, there was one small caveat to me gettin my dough...
When WVU sent my transcripts to WVUP, they (WVU) had me down as "In progress"... and I was told by WVUP's Admissions and Records office that they do not accept "In progress" transcripts... so, I had to request that WVU send another transcript to WVUP... had to fax my request to Morgantown, that cost $1.50 + $6.00 to request the transcript (they had a spot on there for me to give them my debit card number).... let's see; $7.50 <~$5000.... yeah, it'll be worth it.
